I wanted to be different from my father. (Michele Terrasi)

My name is Michele Terrasi, I’m 28 and I have a daughter. I was born in a catholic family. Life in my family wasn’t easy. My parentsarguedall the time. When I was a child, I told my dad: “Dad, when I’ll be a father I’ll do everything in a different way!”.My father replied giving me a slap. In 2002 I met Manuela, my wife. I remember the first time I’ve been in my parents-in-law’s house I was completely astonished at what I saw. I saw peace, love and familiar harmony. In 2003 I went to a youth gathering and there I accepted Jesus in my life. Unluckily, once I got home, I put Jesus aside. I was trying to reunite my parents and I worked too. A while later, I lost my job for familiar reasons. My father became a murderer, so my mother went to live with another man. The money I’d saved until that day were gone, and so I had no job, no family, no money and I kept living my life far from the decision I’d took before the Lord. I found a new job in 2004 and I got married the next year. I thank the Lord because He’s never abandoned me, especially when I was the one who had left Him apart. I had no family but now the Lord has given me one in Heaven and one on this Earth. He has forgiven me and has taken me out of the mud. Jesus is my personal Savior and Lord. I leave you with this verse in 1 Timothy 1:15 “Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.”
